Art of Layers Giveaway + 2 Peas Digest
(I've combined the Art of Layers post from earlier with the Gardener's Digest in an effort to eliminate confusion. Hope it works.)
It's the 22nd, which means it's time for another Garden Girls blog hop. Hope you're enjoying it so far. Have you visited the new official Two Peas blog? Cute, right? And have you seen how much new merchandise has hit the shop? Almost 500 new items in the last few days. Get those pocketbooks ready, unless of course you have more self-control than I.
I was so excited to use the new stamps from Lawn Fawn. Some of the sets are currently sold out, but hopefully will be back in stock in time for the reveal.
The amazing day in the life book is by confetti queen, Lisa. It's bursting with goodness and it might sound strange, but I am totally flattered that she chose to use our Noteworthy daybook.
Clouds & Hearts washi tape. I might profess my love for this tape every chance I get. It is just too cute not to.
Silhouette Cameo. Though I don't own this one yet, I am a huge fan of the Silhouette SD. It's on my "I want, but really do I need it" wish list.
Doodle twine. Several different assortments are already in my collection and I plan on adding this one soon. Great colors for everyday, not just for boy projects.
This Crate Paper pad. Great for Project Life and every other project. Can't get enough of the yellow stripe, as you can see in this project.
Wood Veneer Asterisks. So cute - you can use them naked or color them with ink or mists. Love.
Welcome to the "Art of Layers" blog hop! So excited for my friend Ronda Palazzari, who has worked so hard in putting this book together.
Basic scrapbooking has you place photos and embellishments on cardstock or patterned paper - easy and...well, basic. The next step for most scrapbookers is layering. But trying to get that rich, interesting layered look can be very intimidating. Where do you even start? "Art of Layers" teaches scrapbookers and beginning mixed media artists just how easy it is to get to that layered look in any papercrafting project. Author Ronda Palazzari teaches readers 50+ techniques that will serve as tools to pull out whenever a layered look is desired. The chapters allow the reader to build their skills, from paper techniques they won't be afraid to try adding fabric, embellishments, and stamping to finally giving spray inks, paints and gesso a try.
Here's a sneak of an absolutely adorable layout found in the “Embellishment” section:
